Day 26: 30 Days of Baking

I made some honeycomb cream cupcakes for Day 26. The recipe included honey and oats in the cake, and golden icing sugar for the icing. In the bag, it looks just like regular icing sugar, but it turns a caramel colour when mixed with butter.

I need more practice with piping buttercream. It always ends up a little bit wonky. You can’t notice that in the photos, but I can see it 😉 Some crushed up Crunchie bar was sprinkled over the cakes to decorate. Caroline P at work is getting these cakes today. 4 days left…
